Star Itinerary
LES CHAPELETS (Red runs)
Located at the edge of the Courchevel 1650 area. You'll first be
amazed by the force of an exceptional landscape, where the nearby
mountain (La Dent du Villard), slashed with couloirs and ravines,
gives an impressive backcountry flavour. In this wild environment,
the Chapelets red run meanders and twists down the mountain to the
delight of downhillers happy to enjoy this well-kept secret far
from the crowds.
LES FOLYÈRES (Blue
runs)
Located at the edge of the Courchevel 1850 area, the Folyères
run follows the natural contours of the terrain. The result is pure
pleasure, a run through the forest where the entire family can have
a great time.
LE DOU DES LANCHES (Red runs)
Located at the edge of the Courchevel 1850 area. A beautiful run
with fantastic sharp drops in the slope, rarely crowded, and with
a last wall just above the chair lift station, which merits a detour
to show everyone what you're made of. Excellent snow that lasts
a long time. This run is not for beginners!
LES NOIRES DU PRAZ (Black runs)
The Jean Blanc and Jockey black runs have a lot in common. They
both start at La Loze and descend to Le Praz, are about 3 km long
with a 930 m vertical drop, and face north in the Le Praz forest.
They're never crowded, and when conditions are good, they're awesome.
LES COULOIRS DE LA SAULIRE (Black runs)
This place has been legendary since 1954 when the first aerial tram
of La Saulire enabled everyone to get there easily. It was also
here that one of the very first freeride competitions took place
in 1994. In short: a tough spot (an average incline of 62% in the
couloir under the tram) reserved for expert skiers who are sure
they can master this spot. (falls are NOT recommended…). However,
beware: only the large couloir is a run (black, of course), the
access ridge is sometimes very tricky, and you should never set
out on it if the ski patrol has closed the access.
