Last year’s takings at the lift office were down by 2.66% and guest numbers down by 2.62%. The drop can be attributed to poor snow in December, unhelpful weather, unfavourable school holiday dates, France’s economic situation and competition from other destinations. To halt the downwards slide S3V has invested nearly 16 million Euros on a hands-free lift system, cultured snow making, piste improvements and new lifts.
