Skivolution Performance Courses

Are you stuck on the intermediate plateau?
Want to move your sking to the next level?
Not sure how to achieve this?

If you answered yes to these questions then our courses are for you! As your skiing improves - suddenly your ability to ski bumps, ice and off-piste improves! All day courses for intermediates, advanced and expert skiers.

This SPC performance programme has proven very successful. The course is longer than our normal Skivolution sessions although the teaching philosophy remains the same. These longer sessions allow instructors to spend more time developing your skiing and exploring the Three Vallees ski area.

Major changes in ski technology, wider, shorter skis with deep side cut have revolutionised skiing and our coaches will help you master the potential of these amazing tools.

So what type of skier would enjoy and benefit from an SPC course?

Anybody who has a real passion to improve their skiing will enjoy the sessions, be challenged and ski with like minded skiers. The term 'Performance Course' may suggest highly technical, boring ski sessions - but nothing could be further from the truth. Our instructors do not work this way. They are some of the best ski instructors around, not only in terms of ski ability but also in their communication skills and motivational abilities. If you ski well on the piste and want to improve off piste, we will help you. If you ski well in small bumps but want to ski better in bigger bumps then we can teach you how. There are a variety of SPC courses during the season of which the all mountain terrain course has become the most popular.

What makes our SPC courses special?

    • Instructors with proven track record in developing ski performance

    • The quality and the continuity of the coaching

    • Four hours daily coaching over five days

    • Frequent video feedback sessions

    • Courses aimed at specific skiing disciplines

    • Above all it’s FUN!

Or why not develop your skiing on one of our Autumn training courses in Kaprun and get ready for the new ski season. Austria in November and December 2007 provided amazing snow cover with perfect piste conditions, great bumps and 'champagne' powder everywhere! We can’t promise the same again in 2008, but we can guarantee the best pre-season training courses, in the best locations for early season skiing in the Alps. You do not have to be an advanced level skier to join our courses. If you can ski red runs comfortably, our ski instructors – who rank amongst the best in Britain – have the facility to improve your skiing beyond your expectations. Course numbers are limited so don’t delay.

This season in addition to our usual range of performance courses available we will also be co-hosting host a Fast Track Instructor Course where skiers are able to undertake a three month course and at the end gain a BASI ski instructor qualification.  It's an opportunity to spend three months in the Alps, training and preparing for a BASI Level 1 qualification.

This course is aimed at people who have a real passion, both to improve their skiing and teach skiing in the future, this a GAP course with a very specific focus.  If you have this passion for both skiing and teaching write to either Dave Morris or myself with a quick resume of why you think you would like to be part of this unique programme. info@mountainlodge.co.uk
