Skivolution accomodation and chalet service

Accommodation
Our chalets are all selected to provide only the best, most comfortable accommodation. We want your Skivolution holiday to be the most enjoyable you have ever had and the quality of your accommodation plays a crucial part in achieving this goal.

We want you to be comfortable in your chalet and for it to be a relaxing home from home where you begin enjoying your holiday the moment you walk through the door. When you arrive our hosts will meet you and ensure you are comfortable and settled. In the early evening, they provide nibbles and aperitifs and will be happy to answer any questions you may have about the resort, the skiing, snow conditions and much more.

All our chalets have something unique and special to offer, however most importantly they have friendly, experienced, approachable staff and a warm welcoming atmosphere. All of our chalets are equipped with CD players and TVs (for playing DVDs) so please feel free to bring along a personal selection of CDs and DVDs.

Cuisine
Each chalet has two staff and our chalet chefs are either fully qualified chefs, hold diplomas from highly regarded cookery schools or have years of cooking experience - which is a pre-requisite of their contract. Their approach to chalet catering is to make your dining experience comparable to eating in a quality restaurant and they go out of their way to make each meal memorable. Backed up by the chalet host, your chalet will always be spotlessly clean and well organised.

In the chalet the day starts with a good breakfast consisting of eggs, yoghurt, porridge, orange/grapefruit juice and fresh bread with a selection of jams and honey. When you return from the slopes a homemade cake awaits in the sitting room along with a selection of biscuits. Dinner is the ‘piece de resistance’ when you can enjoy a wonderful three course meal, along with quality red and white wines. Fresh coffee and chocolates follow. Sample menus

Our chalet staff have one well deserved day off each week. Breakfast and a home baked cake for afternoon tea will be laid out for you in the chalet the night before and a fresh delivery of bread, croissants and pain au chocolat will be made by the local bakery in the morning. You will have the opportunity to sample some of the local fayre at one of the Savoyarde restaurants or alternatively try out the local pizzerias. Your chalet hosts will be happy to make recommendations and to arrange this for you.

Premier Service Chalets
Three of our chalets, Elise, Pareloupand the new Jardins de Rosalie have been accredited with Premier Service status due to the high quality of accommodation on offer. In addition to our normal chalet service, guests will enjoy a welcome champagne reception, hairdryers in each bedroom, fully cooked breakfast each morning, canapes and pre-dinner drinks each evening and a beautifully prepared 4 course dinner with a selection of top quality red, white and rose wines. Both chalets have heated boot rooms and the Pareloup has a sauna and hot tub in which to relax at the end of a hard day’s skiing.

Exceptional Staff
We are proud of Skivolution’s reputation for the friendly and efficient disposition of our staff. We take a lot of time recruiting and are well aware that without good people in the chalets it is impossible to offer quality service. We generally employ staff a little older than the average chalet host and all our staff go through a rigorous pre-season training course - ensuring they are all familiar with our guest expectations. We have two staff in each chalet and they are selected not only for their cooking and hosting skills, but also for their lively personalities. They really are one of our greatest assets and we value their contribution greatly.

• Mature staff who really care about our guests

• Qualified chefs

• Two staff in each chalet

• Excellent staff/guest ratio - 1 - 4 maximum

• Experienced returning staff year on year

Overall the chalet programme for season 2008/09 is very similar to last although we have introduced a four level, newly built property called Les Jardin de Rosalie. This chalet is of such a high standard of build quality and facilities that it has been, without hesitation, added to our hugely popular Prestige Chalet Service programme.

Chalet Isabelle is located directly opposiite Chalet Nicola and particularly suits small numbered groups or families.

Chalet Pareloup is a luxurious chalet with an indoor sauna and outdoor hot tub and features our premier service package.

The Elise, a premier service chalet was new and very popular last winter. It offers seven fully en-suite rooms, a lovely living/dining area with open hearth fire and is conveniently situated within 150m of the gondola station.

Chalet Nicola also has an outdoor hot tub where you can ease those tired muscles after a tough day on the slopes and now has five en-suite bedrooms and internet access.

Chalet Marguerite is ideally located near the gondola station, predominantly en-suite and has the great advantage of skiing to the front door.

We also retain our long established Chalets Yalé and La Grange both in Le Praz and our two chalets in nearby La Tania (Murettes and Orchis) both offering en-suite facilities and virtually doorstep skiing.
